Arrivederci for now!

Ciao! to all of my followers and friends of the blog!

Since this time of year brings back thoughts of all of the scrumptious foods we can begin making, ( now that the hottest weather has left us for a while) no one minds lighting the oven or simmering soups & stews for an hour!

With that in mind, I’m going to list a few faves and suggest you check ‘em out if you’re like me and wondering what to prepare that’s Italian and a pretty good bet to be a “hit”.


Why do I list these now, rather than post something new, you may ask??

Well, I won’t be posting for a couple of months due to an illness in my family that will take me away from the kitchen & my blog.  I hope you’ll visit still, searching the archives or categories listed on the blog, to find just the right meal or dessert.


Hey, maybe you’ll be in the mood for a yummy soup on a cold fall night? If so, how about Minestrone, or my “Ribollita”, or the Escarole & Bean Soup? All gluten free naturally, but no one will know that unless you tell them!  If not those, check out the many I’ve listed.

Pasta? Ah! Ever made the Pasta with Bolognese Sauce? Or Butternut Squash Fettucine Carbonara? OMG!  And then there’s the Penne with Sun-dried Tomatoes & Pancetta. Only 3 of the over 30 pastas posted.

Dessert time? Well, there are always crisp apples in the market. Love “Old Fashioned Apple Pie”? or Gluten Free “Tassies”, a terrific cookie we make every holiday.
